i-Gap Closing cermormey and Chairty Dinner at tample hall

Yesterday(16/2/2008) I was out there for whole day as I got activity things to do. I supposed to do volunteer not at one place but both events at the same day. One in the morning to afternoon then later I have be next place untill later at night. THAT WAS WHOLE DAY!!! ><;; That morning, I was at my father's shop to help out to open the shop as one of workers was on the hoilday and another went quit..... -~-; After opening the shop, I later went to North Bright road by bus as I douded I could be make it on time from North Seragoon road. But.... it took 40 mintures to travel there which was this: I WAS LATE!! Almamk!! >.<>_<; Right before the progamme about to start, we had to garther around with them together with the students who were there for the volunteer. Then, it was started the show for the closing cermonery hosted by the MCs (sorry... I don't know what is stand for.....) who were from the members of the i-Gap. During the concert, not only that we had our own lunch together with the elderly, we also had games and some lucky draw too. Besides us, there was the VIP people from MP states and including Guest of Houner, mayor of the North Brigh road. They were there for awhile almost about 2 hours before they left the event. And not only that sing songs and games we had enjoyed ourselves as well the elderly too, but we also supriesed had the reware cermomery for both elderly and young volunteers. We also watched the vidoe clips. It was speacial moment that we would never forget. HA HA HA...... anyway, that was great to enjoy but quite sad to miss the elderly at Peace Connet. Never mind, next activtie would be held else where so I look forware to see other group of elderly people soon. Meanwhile, my friend who is one of the i-Gap group brought me along to the tample area at the Bishan road to down street. Hmmm..... never come across of the tample before but it was bigger place than the one just next to the another tample. And as we went to the second level of the tample, there were alot of volunteers whom I haven't met them before. OK..... That's make me quite the interestly..... but first we supposed to wear the red T-shirts. Well, I end up of wearing the XL shirt as many sizes of shirts were already gave out after that. For my case, I usually wearing that M or L size just for my comfort but since many people took all the sizes only left with XL so I guessed I took one and wear it indeed. Then, we were doing the rehasise, some pratice to carry the plante and standing the place in order the table number. By the way, this was same as the lunch party the only thing was that we only allowed to stand next to the tables which were sitied by the elderly and disable people. As time pass 4PM, we went to the canteen for our earily dinner as we had to serve them later that night. The dinner evernt started only at 6PM plus so we had to be back again by 5:30PM. Which was some others were quite late as they hadn't finish their meal yet.Just then, the elderly and disable people from home as well the other guests were came in on time for the chairty dinner. Then, we were supposed to chit chat them as well to others who sat next to neighbour table indeed. The concert later started at 6:30PM and we had some VIP people came in during the concert.Along them, there was guest of houner who was with his wife that night. Then, the cermormey praying being after the first few items for the progamme. Then, during the time, we were getting ready to serve the plant of Chinese New Year dish called 'Yen Long' and this plant was rather quite heavy for me through. And took a long time of waiting for the next round to serve the dish to the table each. That including of the speak that was quite a long time. These guys shouldn't call us out for the dish that earily. That was tried for my hands alright. -_-; Finally, we were served the guests and later helped up some other elderly and disable people to toes around the 'Yen Long'. Then, it was later dinner concert for everyone of them including the guests who were invited for their kindness support.
There was also givingway some 'Hao Bao' and sweets to each of the elderly and the disable ones. It was special kind of moment that some others didn't have it before as they had been living alone or with caretaker for from hand to mouth all these days. Quite sad wasn't it? But I sure that there are others who will helping hand in someways on other days.
Just before end of the concert, most of VIP people including guest of houner were gone home.The rest of other guests and other needly people were later went home after the concert was over. Only us as the volunteers, well we had to clean up the mass untill around 10PM plus I guess...... ><;; So I end up went home late with my friend from the tample after the praying and I just went asleep at midnight. Uh........ just for that I slept for almost 6 hours after long hard work and worn up of my legs. I did taken a warm shower
before bedtime. Sleeply head me.... HA HA HA!!!

Ah.....a supprise from neighbour, a surge cane??

Today(12/2/2008), I just came back with the eggs that I bought from nearby shop when I met up with my neighbours who are living oppsition of our apartment. Then as we took lift to 15th floor, I saw some of the surge canes that they just bought from market in their own bicycle's basket. Hmmmm........ I wondered what they do with these? So I asked them what they were for and guess what? The anuty gave me one of them as for sweet bite. But wait! How did I eat this surge cane just like that? Well, they said that you have to cut it with the kittchen kife and then just eat the stams instead. Eh....... now I wonder how I have to eat this anyway. When I reture back home, I told mum that neighbours just given to me one of the surge canes and she said that I suppose to stuck some of the juice from it once cut out of the cane. No wonder it seems to be that way at all. I should try one the next day. ^^

Doing dye hair in DIY methor

Just for today(6/2/2008) I was trying out the DIY dye product for myself. And I found out that it was hard to get used of doing dye for two reason: one because of short hands I end up comb downwards. The another was I had shoulder leanght hair so I had to combed up way...... downwards already.
I first prepared some things for the dye hair: a set of dye product(Hoyu), towel, old T-shirt, shampoo and condation, and ever my timer.
Althrough I picked the Milky Tea colour(something almost light brown) yesterday, the colour turn out to be almost dark brown...... Uh...... Almost very nice as I through so.... >_<
Everything seem quite well through as I followed the manuall on my own. But.... Eh... somehow I got myself hard hair as I did most of all combed downward. HA HA HA....... Never mind about that. Waited till my older sister came back home from Compasspoint ( she gone there that earily for the liberily) and saw what I did. Aiyo!!!!! She helped me to recomb over my hair as it needed to oxide of the colour.... TT
Actually, this DIY dye suppose to be easy way but I not too sure why I end up quite a mess... -~-;; Maybe next time I should do dye hair by combing ups and downs of mess.
Note: Luckliy, my hair now looked almost almond brow to me.

Afternoon shopping at Seragoon Garden

Yesterday afternoon(5/2/2008), my sisters and myself went to the Seragoon Garden to shop for New Year clothes. Oh yeah, we supposed to go the market area to buy clothes from the clothes shops. You may thinking why we went down there instead going to the shopping centres to buy new stuffs.Actually, we were there to buy clothes as there were many clothes of design to choese. Aiyo, we not mean to buy clothes that look like aunties what....... ><;
Anyway, we went there by first, taking the MRT train from MRT station to reach the Seragoon MRT station. From station, we went down to the bus interchange to take the bus,317 to the Seragoon Garden.(It's suppose have the circle road link between three roads.)
Once we reached there, we went to the wet market cum food court across the road before went into one of the shops that sells of clothes. At first shop, there were some of clothes that were very nice but all suitable for three of us.... I tried two pieces of dress for which I could wear along with my legging pants that I have. But, one of them suited me quite well than another piece. Eh..... never mind, I bought this dress instead. Next stop, we went to another shop that selling the clothes as well(which my younger sister would say "have other clothes to choese ").The clothes were very nice as they imported from overseas. I actually wanted to try the jeans as they were design very nice and my sisters wanted me to tried the top dress that looked really sweet. So....uh.... I tried on them. Althrough the tops looked nice with me, eh..... the jeans were not very good fit because of my tummy..... MUST DO SOME EXCITES.... TT Just before payment, my older sister left short cash of money and she would go to the ATM mahince to withdraw out some. But.... there wasn't any nearby around the martket so she had to go down the bank outlet to withdraw instead....
After shopping, we went to food court to have tea time. One of sisters went to buy some fried dumpings as she felt quite hurgey at that time. And we end up sharing dumpings indeed.(In the end, I ate too much for myself)
Afterward, we went back home around five plus in late afternoon and things done quickly before we went to Hougang Mall for dinner.(that day was also my dad's birthday) Just how I wish that I would get any better outfit if I would be that silm. Right no way better..... Better watch of diet.
