Last Saturday, 24/11/2007 was the evening concert for those who gone to the Singapore Conference Hall for the Singapore Chinese Orchestra ( known as SCO in short) performers'. The evening concert was Shanghai Night as it had some of the solo performs from China area. Well, that was guest conductor who was also from China too. Uh..... you guys still don't know why I was there with my parents at the concert in the first place. ^_^;;;;
There were five songs for that evening concert:
1)East Flows the Yangtze River
2)Abacus Rondo
3)River South
4)The Fantasia of Maiden Mo Chou
5)Five Golden Flowers
I was actually enjoying myself through I was yawning at cencert time. The Yangtze River song was solo performed by Mdm Zhang Nian Bing known for playing ture of "Guqin". She was good through not easy to some who wanted to try on "Guqin" indeed.
The Abacus Rondo, was supposed to be play with this unusual intrestma, abacus of couse.... o_o; I wondered why but couldn't be help myself while enjoyment of this piece.
What I actually liked the most was The Fantasia of Maiden Mo Chou and the last piece Five Golden Flowers. Both were very nice music. Ms Shen Qing who is "Er hu" soloties is also playing this piece The Fantasia of Maiden Mo Chou. She was very good on "Er hu". As I played the "er hu" before in old school days, I found it was very nice music turn after all. In the end of the piece, she got some of the flowers from the auiditon people.
Before the concert end, there was on called for the another piece music. And I guessed that they wanted to heat the music once more.
So after the concert was end, there was the audition sighting from the performers. Uh...... I didin't think I had time to go for ahead as I just wanted to go back and sleep.....zzzZZZZZzzZZZZzz.........-o- Well, it was 10 PM plus through so that was why it was late at night. Ok, that's all for that day. ^^V

Connet Heart Golden Heart (party day)
Yesterday, Saturday (24/11/2007) , was the elderly home party at the Irina Home in the afternoon. So, we were supposed to meet the Peace Connet at 12:15 PM. The problem was that not everyone arrived on time before noon or after noon. (I through that I was the only one quite late as I left the house much late after noon) T~T
Anyway, since everyone was there before one o'clock, we were leaving by 1:15 PM. ( Much one hour late than early leave) After checking in with the elderly volunteers, we went off to elderly home by bus. During the journey, we had singing some of the songs before we reached the home.
On the arriving, there some of our group volunteers were there early to set up the concert for the elderly people who were staying there for long period.Once dropped off from the bus, we were started out to make some of the paper cannes. Later we had a break with cakes and drinks.
By 3 PM, we headed back to the home for the concert by volunteers. We had fan games and singing songs for every elders to enjoy themselves. Ever some of menteral elderlies also enjoyed too.
By 4 plus, the concert was over and we had to clear the main hall before we had to leave by 5 PM. While some of the volunteers were backup the props, some of others were talking to elderlies including holding hand and shank lightly. Ever one elder lady was crying right after concert. That was really sad.
After that, we had to go back the Peace Connet by bus. Some volunteers had to drive back to the centre with some of the items had to take with them. Once we arrived back to the centre, it was time to dismiss and off for home. As for me, I got things to do in the evening so I had to take taxi to go somewhere else. Anyway, I will tell you what I was doing in the evening. ^_^;

Painting class at NAFA
Last week, on Wednesday (14/11/2007), I went for the art class at the NAFA ( somewhere near the Sunshine Plaze).
My class is usually at Camp 1, room 03-14 on every Wednesday for 8 lessons. And it's start at 7 PM sharp untill at 10 PM in the evening.
Before I went to strginht for my class, I supposed to buy some paints and the caven (11x14) for my lesson. The only problem I had was I didn't know where the ART FRIENDS was....... And I got myself lost!! T^T I asked some people about the dictortions and still... Eh... I got myself lost over again for 4 times!! >~<;;By the time, right after 7, I was late for the class. Plus, I didn't bought them in time so, no painting for me on the first day. TT;;
At the class, the teacher was talking with the students on the based of painting including the colour tones, mixture and the light and dark share.
Since I knew a few things about painting, I got the idea what it was like. After the talk, we started to draw out on the piece of paper as our rough paper. I drew few times to get the picture right even through my eye sigh seem quite different postions. We drew out the drawing untill break time.
After the break, our teacher took us a tour at the 4th floor, for the view of the art gallry. Some of works which was done by the school students, were very great and some others were not so bad at all. And we entered the room where the second year students were doing their own project, were full with painting broads everywhere. Of course some had to be touch up through and I was quite surprised how they mangered to do that on their own.
After the tour, we started to paint the classifier verison in which we had to paint in all brown colour before colour the object of the picture in final patch.
While I was watching how they do, I was told that I had to do it right at home which was why I had to buy the cavan in the first place.
So, that's why I had to go to the ART FRIENDS at Orchan Road to buy some of the paint and the canven on Saturday morning, round 11 plus before noon.
Now, today I drew out the picture that I drew out from the rough paper before I colour the picture in brown. I painted brown colour in full broad then later added colour for details. The object should paint in based before add the single colour as this picture is in classifier one. By then now..... Eh..... I painted almost a mass. But the overal is not too bad. I wonder what the teacher would say about this picture. Anyway, tomorrow I returen back for the lesson to complate the last work patch. ^x^;;

Golden Year, Golden Heart (making)
Yesterday (17/11/2007) I went to the Peace Connet at North Brigh Road for the parpertiona for the event next week, Saturday (24/11). I was late for the project, by then some voluteers and even elderly voluteers were there already. These youth volunteers were doing the banner for the event. Soon after that, some other volunteers came late as well. -~-; ........
Anyway, we were first team up with some of the elder voltueers. After that, we were started to work on the poster. While making the poster, I was the only one drawing some pictures and others had to do some patching work after I done with that. >~<;;; Next round, we had singing songs a few rounds and afterwards we had break. We gave some of the bread and water bottoles to the elder voluteers. That should be enough for everyone. Then, we now learned the flold of the canne. HA HA HA!! I know, I haven't learn that one before..... I through so.... >~<;;;; We made the canne from the beingging to the end, but I got myself mixed up one fold to the another. ><;; That took for about few papers to make before we packed up for leaving. After all of the making we had done, it was later we had the prize giving for the poster artwork. Well, not only that we did a pretty done through but we had to give to the elderlies instead as their prizes.So after that, it was time to go back home for a break. Next week, I will go out to the elderly home with other volunteers for the party event. Can't wait forward to meet elderly volunteers soon! ^_^

FFA movie workshop
Hi everyone, this is my first time to do the blog. Hopefully you guys would read on the first post. On last Saturday (10 Novemeber, 2007) I went to Funnal Mall for the workshop from City Hall MRT station. Well, at least I knew where the mall was but then I almost got myself lost...... >_<;; I went up and down twice to find where on earth IAH cybercafe was?! So, where I asked one of the saleman from the store, he told me that I had to walk through the 1st floor to go another side of the B1 floor. Eh.... OK, it was just oppsite the Coldstorage. ><; Before the workshop was started, I sat one of the computer area just in front of the main door where I enter the cybercafe. Uh.... at least that I also sat next to that guy who was with his friend of couse. Well, we had to wait for a while as others haven't setted with the progamme. The progamme started quite late then. ^*^;; Hmmmm..... I wonder what were they doing before that laterly. During the workshop, we were learnt about the progamme software at the same time tried to play around at the same time. I got the matter through trial and error at point of time. OK, next we supposed to make the film by ourselves. I did mangered the film with some of the efferts and other the sildes in but the problem I had so far was that I didn't know where were I going to type in those sub titles into and I had no idea where how I put some of the music into those slots. T^T At point of time, the IAH group were went round to watch some others' film for each of 10 mins before they went to next one. Uh.... I guess that I hadn't finished my film in the end. What is most interesting about this workshop was not only about the software progamme that I did tried before, there was a group of the family of four ( there were small children with their parents of couse )!! In the end of the workshop, the first winner was the youngest particiter from the family went away with the prize. HA HA HA!!! Never mind, we actully did the film quite well after all. At least that I was glad that progamme was the most interesting thing about this event. Expect that, well, I guess that the timming seem to have quite deley for a while. Which was good enough for me. Only thing was not so sure where the bus stop was.... I quite got myself lost after the workshop... Sad case now. TT Next time I better bring my guild book for the transport.
